It seems Taylor Swift is back on the clock after spending some time off with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The Grammy winner is reportedly working on a “top secret” project.
“Taylor was in Los Angeles on Thursday filming a new music video,” an insider told the US Sun.
“It was so top secret that those working on set were not even allowed to hear the song, only the beat,” the insider added.
“Even though she’s been taking time off from touring and working a lot to spend time with Travis, there are still projects she’s working on, which will no doubt please fans.”
The revelation comes in after weeks of speculation about Swift’s 12th album.
The rumors started with Taylor Nation, the fan engagement account managed by the singer’s team, posting a countdown of the singer’s albums.
While Swift has been tight-lipped about new music, fans have already started counting days.
A fan wrote on X, “Omg, the mystery behind this LA shoot is killing me! Taylor’s mastermind move with the beat-only vibe has me counting down to the reveal.”
Another wrote, “I need the people working on set to just describe the beat pls was it fast pls be fast.”
However, many chose not to believe the news and dismissed it as mere speculation.
“I’ll believe it when the video releases lol,” another fan wrote on X.
A fourth wrote, “I don’t even know what to believe anymore, but either way I believe we’re already clowning.”
While Swift is keeping a low profile with her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, she is making headlines for more than one reason.
Just recently, Swift’s ex-boyfriend Matty Healy’s mom, Denise Welch, took a swipe at her during an interview.
In an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked Welch for her reaction to Swift’s 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode, but being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad I lost,” she said.
After receiving shocked gasps from the audience to her comment, Welch was quick to come up with an explanation.
“Not that I have anything against [Taylor] at all,” she said, adding: ‘It was just – it was tricky.’
Now, the Love Story singer, who prefers to stay out of controversies, has subtly reacted to the not-so-pleasing comment by Welch.
“It’s a bit obnoxious in Taylor’s eyes, but she has to take the high road,” an insider told the Daily Mail, adding Swift has no plans to issue a scathing response to Welch’s sly digs.
“If there was anything that would be in a future song of Taylor’s – if she were ever to respond – she would respond that way. But as of right now, she might just let it slide. She is not going to let Denise ruin her day.”
Swift and Healy’s romance was short-lived, as the couple dated from May to June 2023, following the Cruel Summer singer’s split from British actor Joe Alwyn.
While Welch’s comments seemingly didn’t come in good taste, an insider told Us Weekly the reason behind her shading Swift.
“Denise is still Matty’s mum at the end of the day, and it was bloody hard for her to stay quiet during the whole ordeal,” the source said.
“Now that time has gone by, she’s saying what she can because she knows that her son got hurt.”
Amid all the drama surrounding the Shake It Off singer, one thing that definitely brings her peace is her boyfriend, who had recently hard-launched her on his IG page with some intimate pictures.
Kelce is currently busy training for the new NFL season, while Swift is all prepped to cheer him on.
