We got addicted to the North & the South when George R.R. Martin’s books made it to the screens. There were several houses, with each trying to overpower themselves. However, three houses stayed. The strongest one was Stark, Lannister, and Targaryen. We all loved several characters, whether they were with us from the start or whether they got little screen time. However, there are other characters too that we dislike. So here we bring the list of The Most hated character of Games of Thrones, ranked!
8. High Sparrow
High Sparrow was the leader of a religious sect whose sole goal was to amass considerable influence over the Iron Throne. He not only publicly humiliates Cersie through her walk of shame but questions Margaery Tyrell & Ser Loras Tyrell. He did present himself as a humble & wise man, but as we watched him, we got to know his ruthlessness. The only Lannister we liked from the beginning was Tommen, but he manipulated him, and eventually, he attempted suicide. But High Sparrow’s wrath didn’t end there; his actual goal was to control the King’s Landing, but you can’t attempt when Cersei Lannister is there.
7. The Mountain
His real name was Gregor Clegane, and he was the elder brother of Sandor Clegane. While we loved Sandor for protecting Arya & Sansa at some level, we deeply hated Gregor. The extremely lethal & fearsome evil knight not only assaulted Elia Martell, Oberyn Martell’s sister, but he also killed him! We all remember the Tyrion’s battle, right? When Oberyn Martell stepped up to help Tyrion & he almost won until Gregor smacked his head. I literally cried there & resented his character. That’s why he comes in the list of The Most hated character of Games of Thrones, ranked!
6. Viserys Targaryen
Can we just all agree? He was the stupidest Targaryen of all time. Even his ancestor gonna be ashamed of him. He not only sold his sister to the Dothraki, but through this, we got to meet Kal Drogo, so we’ll give him a pass. But that pass soon expired when he treated Daenerys with disrespect & showcased to him that being a Targaryen will magically give him respect. I think he crossed the line multiple time, but in front of Kal Drogo when he threatened to kill his wife & son. We all know you don’t threaten Kal Drogo & live to see the next day.
5. Walder Frey
He invited his dead to the Red Wedding. He is the Lord of the Crossing and the head of House Frey, which plays a vital role in the infamous Red Wedding. We hate him for not only treating every other girl with disrespect but stabbing The Starks in the back. His constant scheming and manipulation of those around him make him a shady character who fans cannot forgive. He tricked everyone into coming down for a celebration & actually killed everyone, including Robb, Catelyn & the pregnant Talisa Stark. No wonder he comes in our list of The Most hated characters of Games of Thrones, ranked.
4. Cersei Lannister
We all remember Cersei, right? One of the characters we hated from the start! This article will turn quite long if we start listing down what Cersei did that made fans hate it so much. She is ruthless, willful, cold, ambitious, and cunning in the sense that she is utterly willing to betray anyone who trusts her or does anything to protect her own. There are several times we wish Cersei to do the right thing, but she is just incapable of that. When Jamie begged her to send the army to the North to fight the Night King, she ordered him to stay in the South with him & let the North handle that alone.
3. Little Finger
The depth of hate we have for him is indefinite. Petyr Baelish, also known as Littlefinger, is a cunning and manipulative character in Game of Thrones who is despised by fans for his constant scheming and treachery. Fans hate Littlefinger for his role in the death of Ned Stark, to the very end when he tried to turn Sansa against Arya. 2. Joffery Lannister
He was the most narrow-headed Lannister we ever got. He was a psychopath & we should thank Lady Olenna Tyrell for poisoning him. Joffrey was an extremely ruthless, cruel, arrogant, sadistic, malicious, egotistical, remorseless, and tyrannical ruler, even by the standards of his times. He immensely enjoyed indulging in the agony of others and played barbarically vicious ‘games’ with them. The hater for him started when he ordered the execution of Net Stark on the spot.
1. Ramsay Bolton
He tops the list of the most hated characters of Games of Thrones. As soon as he entered the frame, we sensed wicked vibes. He seems to be the personification of pure evil, with no redeemable features. He is dishonorable, manipulative, ruthless, extremely sadistic, sexually depraved, wild, and completely capable of committing unspeakable atrocities without remorse, simply for pure amusement. He tortured Theon to the extent it became unforgivable. Not only that, he tortured Sansa too! He wasn’t a coward like Joffrey. He was a skilled swordsman & a fearful leader. Getting Winterfall back from his hold wasn’t easy.
